IT Advise to our clients is FREE- don’t be afraid to ask for it!

Recently a client of ours decided to install a CRM package on their Small Business Server.

The support personnel from the CRM company logged on to their server and had difficulty configuring the CRM. He eventually decided to remove IIS (a core component for Microsoft Exchange) which caused the Microsoft Exchange Store to get corrupted. The end result was 3 days of no emails for the client, an expensive reinstallation of the server and still no CRM package installed or working.

The golden rule is a Windows Small Business Server should not run any 3rd party applications. However if this is an absolute requirement it is highly recommended you contact your IT Support for advise in order to avoid unnecessary incidents like the one mentioned.

Remember to call The Techtron Team before giving 3rd party providers access to your system- we are always available to offer you the best support possible!
